Time To Learn
June 2010
Many children struggle with maths and English and it can often be difficult for parents or carers to know the best way to help them to achieve their full potential.
For the Kaur family from Wolverhampton, The Student Support Centre’s ‘simply’ programmes have allowed aunt Pam to help her niece Chloe (14) and nephew Harjeeven (11) despite their hectic family life. Pam finds the flexibility of the ‘simply’ programmes to be amongst the best features for her, as lessons can be completed at a time that suits everyone.
Pam says ‘There are occasions when I’m short of time and unable to sit with Chloe and Harjeeven and work through the ‘simply’ programmes with them. I’m confident that if I leave them to work through the programmes independently they will be engaged enough to complete them at their own pace in order to reinforce what they’re learning at school.’
