A LEARNING scheme for children offers home tuition, which is like having a 24-hour tutor.

The Student Support Centre (SSC) provides maths and English home tuition, which offers course materials and learning support for primary school kids right up to GCSE level. In other words from the ages of 4-16.

The scheme offers an initial assessment in the home of the child and gives a chance to see the pupil’s home environment. The course materials are then provided and targets are set. The pupil will work through the course and the help of a parent is necessary though eventually the child will be able to work independently.

Macide Talat, who took on the learning scheme for her own children was very impressed with the results and is now promoting the scheme to other parents.
“If you consider the cost of hiring a tutor is around £25 an hour, this scheme is a very cost effective way of getting your child to learn, at a lower cost,” she said. “My two eldest children went through the scheme and now my youngest daughter has been placed in the gifted and talented group of her school thanks to her additional learning with SSC.”
