How to make a natural mobile
All you need for this outdoor game is… you! This is a game for younger children, so you’ll definitely need to invite Parent(s)/Carer(s) to join in. But the more friends come along, the more fun you’ll have.
Your goal is to find these five items:
- A green leaf
- A feather
- Two sticks
- Lambs wool or a pine cone
- A spring flower
Where do I go to find these items?
Search the streets around your home and your local park, and don’t be afraid to ask your Parent(s)/Carer(s) for advice: they may give you some helpful clues. See if you can find all five items in an hour – it’s harder than it sounds!
How do I make a natural mobile?

When you arrive home after collecting your five items, ask your Parent/Carer to tie your two sticks together with cotton thread or string to make a cross

Decorate your mobile with paint and glitter

Wait ten minutes for your mobile to dry

Hang your five items on the mobile using the cotton thread
