Dear Student Support Centre,
I am thoroughly enjoying the support from the DVDs as they are giving me more confidence and knowledge in the lessons I have done so far. I find the DVDs easy to follow, well explained and they give me plenty of examples so that I can get a better understanding of the topic.
It took me a while to get into the lessons but as soon as I went back to school my routine went back to normal and it was easy for me to select dates and a time to do my lessons in. My lesson days are on Monday and Thursday between 16:00 and 18:00. Last week my lessons were a bit mixed up because of the amount of homework I had from school but I still try my best to stick to my times and my family are very supportive. If I don’t feel like doing a lesson they encourage me that it is for the right reasons and I don’t leave it to chance.
I have progressed very well in maths so far but not as well in English. In maths I am currently on Part 3, Volume 3 and my next lesson is lesson 5, which is about length. In English I am on Part 3, Volume 1 and I have just done lesson 1. My next lesson will be about verbs, which I am looking forward to because it will give me more of an understanding about them and what other types of verbs there are.
The programme is helping me because the more I learn about the subject the more I am confident and this is shown through my results. When I started ‘simply’ maths I only just passed my first lesson by getting 90% but since then I’ve been getting 100%. I hope to continue with my high results throughout the programme. In English I got 92% and I hope (like my maths) that my results will get better and better. The lessons help me feel good because if I don’t get something (or I know how to work something out but I didn’t know how to come to my answer), the DVD is always there for me to watch as many times as I like and If I still don’t understand I can always try again the next day (unlike in school where I need to keep up with the speed of the class).
The best part of the programme for me is that I can do the exercises in the comfort of my own home. With The Student Support Centre I get the best of both worlds because I can learn with my family so they can also learn the new way of working things out.
Yours sincerely,
Paige

Dear Student Support Centre,
I think what you’re doing is really great because you’re helping people learn. I enjoy doing the lessons more now because I can get my levels up. I believe in myself more so that I can achieve higher levels at school.
Yours faithfully,

Geniya
My name is Geniya and I am 11 years old. I have been using The Student Support Centre programme for 2 and half years.
The ‘simply’ programme has helped me very much since I joined. It has helped me reach my goals in maths and English at school. When I received my report this year I was amazed that I received a level 5 in my SATS. I used to be in the medium set but now I am in the high set at school.
The programme helps me a lot. The lady that presents the DVD explains what is happening or what I have to do very clearly. My teachers and friends say that I have improved by miles. Without The Student Support Centre I would not have reached this level.
I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone at The Student Support Centre for their help! Thank you!

Anusha
Dear Student Support Centre,
My name is Anusha and I am in year 3 at school. Thank you for this fabulous and helpful programme. It was so great and it made me pass my tests in school.
When I was stuck with my homework I repeatedly watched the DVDs and was then able to solve my problems. I felt like my teacher was teaching me, because this is the same way my teacher does. It is much better than going for tuition since in this programme we can watch it as many times as we want.
It was a great excitement to receive my diploma certificate by post with my name and address. I think this is an encouragement for children and also to help them feel proud of themselves. So I love it and would like to recommend it to my friends.
In the next summer holiday we are going to India and I will never forget to take the books and DVDs with me.
Thank you once again.
With lots of love,
Anusha

Dear Student Support Centre,
I am writing to tell you how great your programmes have helped me in class. Today I was estimating and rounding in my class. I was the first one to put my hand up and when I did I felt very proud of myself.
The English and maths programme has helped me so much that I want to do another lesson. I am on part one, volume 2 and the exercises keep expanding more and more.
The maths programme has kept me confident and helps me always put my hand up in class. I then feel proud of myself.
It has made me understand better at home because the DVDs has more examples.
The English programme helps me so much with comprehension because it explains nouns and verbs. I am happy to continue with the programme until it finishes.
Yours sincerely,
Leilah

To Whom It May Concern:
The Student Support Centre is really helping me. I was always rubbish in maths but this type of learning really did help. I really never thought that I could improve. I also thought that it would be really boring. It was really fun. They have a really good way of drawing me in to keep me learning. I have already told all my friends and some of them are trying to persuade their parents.
I have really big expectations to be a doctor and The Student Support Centre takes me so much closer to that dream. I have never been so enthusiastic about learning.
I really like The Student Support Centre and I hope it is still here in generations to come so that my children’s children get to see how it is to be smart without hassle.

Dear Student Support Centre,
I have received your letter and I am thanking you. I am very pleased to say that the programme my father brought me has been helping me a lot.
I have started to use my ladder of success and I am now up to lesson 10 in ‘simply’ maths. The reason why I am on lesson 10 is because I do lessons on a Saturday and on a Wednesday.
I have progressed far because I used to be very low in maths but now I am in the second highest group in year 7. I have also progressed in my English too.
I am very good on the programme. I even sometimes find them easy. The programme is helping me loads because sometimes I don’t understand things in class even though the teacher explains it to us in class.
Yours sincerely,
Malika

Dear Sir or Madam:
Thank you for the work. I am getting on fine. How are you getting on? In the holidays we went to Blackpool beach and the tide was massive. Have you been away anywhere nice?
I love maths because I am good at it, especially long additions. Maths is my best subject!
It is the school's anniversary and there is a party on Friday. We will be dressing up in 1960’s clothes. I can’t wait! I am so excited!
Thank you again for my certificate. I am 8 years old and in year 3 at school. It is brilliant. I am in junior school now and it is really good.
Today we had our massive school photo. I was on the fourth row and it felt high and wobbly. It was like you were falling from a height.
Yours faithfully,
Sawan
