This privacy policy explains the following:

1. What information will The Student Support Centre collect about me?
When you sign up to participate in or receive a service from any part of the student-support.co.uk website, such as Pass Masters, newsletters or competitions for example, we may ask for personal information about you. This may consist of information such as your name, e-mail address, postal address, telephone or mobile number or date of birth. Different web pages may ask for different personal information.
By entering your details in the fields requested, you enable The Student Support Centre to provide you with the services you select.
Please note that on particular web pages we will sometimes require you to provide additional personal information, such as your Student Support Centre Registration Number. When we do this we will specify further why we are collecting your information and how we will use it.
The Student Support Centre also uses cookies and collects IP addresses (an IP address is a number that can uniquely identify a specific computer or other network device on the internet). We use analysis software to look at IP addresses and cookies for the purpose of enhancing your user experience. This information is not used to develop a personal profile of you and the log files are regularly purged.
2. How will The Student Support Centre use the information it collects about me?
- The Student Support Centre will only use personal information: for purposes of a contribution to Pass Masters as explained below or to contact you about a submission you have made to the Pass Masters website; and/or
- for any other purpose clearly stated at the time information is requested or provided.
Where The Student Support Centre proposes using your personal information for any other uses we will ensure that we notify you first. You will also be given the opportunity to withhold or withdraw your consent for your use other than as shown above.
The Student Support Centre does not share any data collected outside the Student Support Centre Group nor does it sell any data collected to any third parties.
3. When will The Student Support Centre contact me?
The Student Support Centre may contact you:
- In relation to the functioning of any service you have signed up for in order to ensure that The Student Support Centre can deliver the services to you;
- Where you have opted to receive further correspondence;
- In relation to any contribution you have made to student-support/passmasters.co.uk
- To invite you to participate in surveys about The Student Support Centre services (participation is always voluntary)
4. Will The Student Support Centre share my personal information with anyone else?
We will keep your information confidential except where disclosure is required or permitted by law (for example to government bodies and law enforcement agencies). We will only use your information within The Student Support Centre.
5. Offensive or inappropriate content on The Student Support Centre website
If you post or send offensive, inappropriate or objectionable content anywhere on or to student-support/passmasters.co.uk (or elsewhere on a website created by us), or otherwise engage in any disruptive behaviour on student-support/passmasters.co.uk (or elsewhere on a website created by us), The Student Support Centre may use your personal information to stop such behaviour.
Where The Student Support Centre reasonably believes that you are or may be in breach of any of the laws of England or Wales (e.g. because content you have posted may be defamatory), The Student Support Centre may use your personal information to inform relevant third parties such as your employer, e-mail/Internet provider or law enforcement agencies about the content and your behaviour.
6. What if I am a user aged 16 or under?
If you are aged 16 or under, please make sure that your parent or carer reads this information.
Please get your parent/carer's permission beforehand whenever you provide personal information to The Student Support Centre. Users without this consent must not provide us with personal (or related) information.
The Student Support Centre Contribution Terms
By forwarding us a contribution, you (or The Student Support Centre where indicated) confirm the following:
1. By sharing any contribution (including, but not limited to, any text, photographs, pictures, jokes or poems) with The Student Support Centre you (and any relevant parent / carer) agree to grant The Student Support Centre, free of charge, irrevocable permission to use the material without time limit in any way it wants (including modifying and adapting it for operational and editorial reasons and as explained below) for The Student Support Centre in any media.
2. Copyright in your contribution will remain with you and this permission is not exclusive, so you can continue to use the material in any way including allowing others to use it.
3. In order that The Student Support Centre can use your contribution, you confirm that (if under 16) your parent or carer has agreed for you to enter the competition you are interested in and also agreed for you to send in your contribution with all other information. You also confirm that your contribution is your own original work, is not defamatory and does not infringe any laws, that you have the right to give The Student Support Centre permission to use it for the purposes specified above, and that you have the consent of anyone who is identifiable in your contribution or the consent of their parent / carer if they are under 16.
4. We normally show (with your contribution) your name, age and city where you live, unless you request otherwise, but for operational reasons this is not always possible. The Student Support Centre may need to contact you for administrative or verification purposes in relation to your contribution, or in relation to particular projects.
5. Please do not endanger yourself or others, take any unnecessary risks or break any laws when creating content you may share with The Student Support Centre.
6. If you do not want to grant The Student Support Centre the permission set out above on these terms, please do not submit or share your contribution to or with student-support/passmasters.co.uk.
