Nalitarbari Education Project

The Student Support Centre is committed to ensuring that as a company we are 'socially responsible'. The Student Support Centre has joined forces with the charity 'World Vision' to launch The Student Support Centre's Nalitabari Education Project.

The aim of this project is to improve educational standards in the Nalitabari Area Development Program (ADP) through improved quality of primary, secondary and higher education. Literacy rates will be promoted, as will the moral and ethical values of the community. Gender equality will also be promoted. The target beneficiaries are 19,600 children, 200 child labourers, 200 disabled children, 1,300 youth and 7200 adults within the community.

Get Involved

As a thank-you to your school for distributing information on our ‘simply’ maths, English and reading home-based tuition programmes to parents who may be looking for extra help to support their children, The Student Support Centre offers to make a small donation to the Nalitabari Education Project on a school’s behalf.

What Happens Next?

If your school chooses to take this opportunity World Vision will send out an initial letter thanking your school for the donation made towards the Nalitabari Education Project. After six months from receiving your initial letter, World Vision will then send a further update reporting in detail the progress and development of the project due to the overall donations The Student Support Centre makes throughout the year on behalf of schools who choose to take part.

Why World Vision?

World Vision works to make a serious and sustainable impact on poverty and its causes, especially as they affect children. They are committed to long-term change, which means connecting people. Whether it’s enabling people in developing communities to support each other, or linking donors to those in need through child sponsorship, or creating networks to campaign for justice, they believe that getting people connected is the best way to make a difference.
